Custody cases can be extremely tragic, especially when the verdict of the court leads to the death of the parent or the child. One such case is that of Elena Belogolovsky. She lost her son, Adam, who was a smart, kind, and loving six-year-old child. He was pronounced dead in a Lakeland, Florida hospital while in the custody of his father, Dr. Leonard Gitter, a physician.
Imagine the emotional trauma the mother must have gone through losing her beloved son! Elena, the grieving mother, wants answers that have not been forthcoming. The local Polk County Sheriff and Lakeland hospital have not revealed anything about what happened. Elena also alleges a pattern of bias and corruption within the Snyder-Union County Family Court in Pennsylvania. Judge Lori R. Hackenberg’s reliance on a “troubling” custody evaluation conducted by Harrisburg’s Dr. Arnold Shienvold ultimately contributed to the demise of young Adam.
Elena claims that the legal struggle favored her wealthier ex-husband due to judicial bias. She also believes that her son’s case is an example of “cash-for-kids” in the Family Courts. Now, there is an immediate need for transparency, fairness, and accountability in a judicial process that prioritizes children’s welfare.
Elena Belogolovsky, with credentials from Cornell University and Lycoming College and a Ph.D. degree from Vanderbilt University, faced an uphill battle against her wealthy ex-husband in a custody dispute. She claims that the court favored him due to his money and influence, leaving her financially strained and unable to see her son regularly. Furthermore, her son’s death heightened her despair, leading her to believe the judge was guilty of misconduct. Elena points fingers at the evaluator, Dr. Arnold Shienvold, alleging biased reports that favored the father and ignored the mother’s abuse claims. She also warned others to avoid him and his associates, highlighting their questionable practices and urging caution.
The circumstances which led to Adam’s death were precipitated by Dr. Arnold Shienvold’s report that recommended it was a good idea for Adam to relocate to Florida with his father, followed by the father’s negligent actions. On March 1st, 2024, Adam’s father informed Elena of Adam’s fever and cold, which had resulted in his absence from school. That evening, she tried contacting Adam, but there was no response. When she reached out to the father, he told her that Adam was too ill to talk on the phone. Although she inquired about taking Adam to the hospital, he dismissed the necessity. On March 2, the father gave Elena the news of her son’s passing along with revealing he was unaware of Adam’s deteriorating condition during his 15-minute drive to the hospital and that, he did not notice that Adam had died in the back seat of his car.
As Elena continues to seek answers and justice for her precious son Adam, her courage, speaking out against perceived biases and corruption, serves as a reminder of the enduring importance of fighting for the rights and protection of individuals within our society. Adam’s story must not be forgotten, and we hope that Elena will find justice!
